Privacy policy
Domino Score Counter: Camera, by Strange Mesa LLC · Effective October 23, 2026
The short version
- There are no accounts. You never sign up or sign in.
- Your games, scores and player names are stored on your iPhone. We don't have a copy.
- Photos of your tiles are counted on your iPhone. They are never uploaded, and the app doesn't save them.
- The app sends anonymous usage and crash data that isn't linked to your identity. No tracking, no advertising identifier, no ads.
- Apple and RevenueCat handle purchases. We never see your payment details.
Your games
Everything you enter in Domino Score (games, hands, scores, player and team names, and settings) is stored on your iPhone, and in your device backups if you use them. We don't run a server that stores games, so we can't see them. Deleting a game, or the app, removes it from your iPhone.
If you share a final scorecard, the app makes an image and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.
The camera and your photos
The camera counter needs camera access, which iOS asks you for the first time you use it. You can also choose a photo from your library instead; iOS lets you pick a single photo without giving the app access to the rest of your library.
Counting happens entirely on your iPhone: the networks that find the tiles and read the pips are part of the app. The photo is never uploaded, and the app doesn't save it to your library or anywhere else. When you close the counter, the photo is gone.
Analytics and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to learn which features get used and to find and fix crashes. This includes events such as starting a game, adding a hand, or using the camera counter (with numbers like how many tiles it found, the total, and whether you corrected it), along with the app version, device model, operating system version, app language and crash diagnostics. Firebase assigns a random identifier to the app installation.
This data isn't linked to your name, email or any account, and it doesn't include photos, player names or team names. The app uses the version of Firebase Analytics without the advertising identifier (IDFA), doesn't use any other tracking identifier, and doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Purchases
Domino Score Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm what you've bought and unlock Premium. RevenueCat receives purchase information such as the product, price and transaction dates, linked to an anonymous app user identifier rather than your name or email.
If you install Domino Score from an Apple Search Ads ad, Apple's AdServices framework tells RevenueCat which ad campaign and keyword led to the install. It contains no personal identifiers and isn't used to track you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We don't show ads, and never will.
- We don't track you across apps or websites.
This website
dominoscore.app has no analytics, cookies, ads or trackers, and loads nothing from other sites. Like any website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) receives standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the pages.
Children
Domino Score is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Player names you type stay on your iPhone.
Your choices
You can delete any game in the app, or delete the app to remove everything from your iPhone. You can turn off camera access at any time in the Settings app. Because analytics and purchase data aren't linked to your identity, we generally can't look up data about you, but we're happy to answer questions.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
